The course is designed for Chief Stewardesses and Heads of Interior Departments, as well as those in senior onboard positions, who are responsible for leading individuals and department teams.
The Advanced Leadership Module focuses on addressing the challenges of the Head of Department (HoD) role. It enhances participants' knowledge and skills in motivating individuals and teams, effective communication, implementing performance management on board, applying resource management principles, and handling conflict situations through coaching and mentoring.
Throughout the course, we will work on case study scenarios based on on board real-work situations. We will discuss how to improve communication and overall team performance while fostering a positive job environment for your team on board.
Duration: 3 days intensive or spread over 2 weeks

Time: 14:00 to 20:00 (CET)
Format:
• Live sessions via Zoom (interactive, small group format)
• Includes self-study and real onboard case assignments
• + One-to-One Coaching Sessions: Tailored support to develop your personal leadership style, work on assignments, and receive individual guidance from your instructor in developing your skills.
This flexible format allows students to balance training with their work schedule while receiving PERSONALIZED MENTORSHIP to grow into a confident and effective leader.

You will obtain the certification : Foundation Leadership Unit 17 and the Unit 22 Advanced leadership qualifications which are equivalent to HELM O and HELM M, are recognised by PYA for the CoC of Chief Stewardess

Throughout the course, and in combination with self-study, students will also participate in in-class sessions or live Zoom sessions (depending on the chosen modality) guided by our expert instructors.
Additionally, one final one-to-one session will be scheduled to work on assignments and provide personalized guidance and mentoring on the key points that need reinforcement. The certificate is issued upon successful completion of 100% of the course, including both the online platform modules and the practical training, which can be completed either in-class or via Zoom session.

- Previous experience on the Yacht Industry and as Senior role on Yachting
ASSESSMENT PROCESS
Skills are assessed through practical application, supported by a final exam and assignment testing to ensure comprehensive understanding and competency.
