This one-day course provides in-depth knowledge of the advanced aspects of Housekeeping and organization skills required for the maintenance and smooth running of the guest interior. There is a thorough review of Housekeeping basics, followed by a more advanced theory on the care and maintenance of surfaces and fabrics. Focus is also given to anticipating guest needs, time management and the importance of attention to detail in the Housekeeping department.

Methodology
Structure:
  • Students will have 24/7 access to all course content on our online platform, which includes assignments, quizzes, and instructional videos.
  • The course combines self-study on the platform with scheduled in-class sessions at Barcelona Crew Academy or live Zoom sessions led by our expert instructors.
  • The training emphasizes hands-on experience, using a range of quality equipment, and includes practical demonstrations to refine your silver service skills.​ 

Modules ​
The aim of the course is to provide advanced aspects of Housekeeping and organizational skills required for the maintenance and smooth running of the Guest Interior.  A Housekeeping course, recognized within the Yacht industry, it encompasses all aspects of the fundamentals with an emphasis on the practical as well as with a good knowledge of how to manage a Professional and Efficient Housekeeping Services. 
  • Module 0:
    • Cleaning, care and maintenance of surfaces.
    • Cleaning, care and maintenance of fabrics.
    • Maintening cleaning equipment.
    • Maintening health, hygiene and safety practices in department.
  • Module 1:
    • Cabin day and evening turn down service.
    • Daily in suite cleaning steps /Correct cleaning techniques.
  • Module 2:
    • Detailing and preparation of the Guest Interior.
    • Detailing of the guest, pre-guest arrival.
    • Guest-on services using the procedures and schedules.
    • Anticipating guest needs.
  • Module 3:
    • Packing Luggage.
    • Unpacking Luggage.
    • General Guest clothing care.

Requirements
  • Age limit for attending the GUEST Program is strictly 18 years old or over.
  • One full season experience as a Stewardess.
  • English fluent.

Certificate
The training provided by Barcelona Crew Academy  includes a Diploma Certificate is awarded by, the Guest Program- IAMI  is a MCA accepted interior training Barcelona Crew Academy is member of  PROFESSIONAL YACHTING ASSOCIATION. ​

Housekeeping: provides an in-depth knowledge of the advanced aspects of cleanliness and the organizational skills necessary for the maintenance and proper functioning of the guest interior. There is a thorough review of the basics of cleaning, followed by a more advanced theory on the care and maintenance of surfaces and fabrics. Attention is also paid to anticipating guest needs, time management, and the importance of attention to detail in the cleaning department.


Laundry: offers invaluable tips, guidelines and
practical training on how to apply and manage efficient laundry services
onboard. It includes a thorough overview and practical sessions on professional
ironing of garments and linens while also looking at useful procedures and
simple steps that can save time while still ensuring the highest standards in
equipment, garment, and linen care.

This course provides in-depth knowledge of the relationship between the employer/guest and the valet. Focus is given to applying efficient valet services such as handling guest clothing and accessories, suitcase packing techniques, and wardrobe management. clothing, shoe care, ironing and pressing different items, handling and packing delicate items.
