This Food Safety & Hygiene module is aimed at providing the crew with the necessary training as required by MCA regulations. This course is specifically oriented for personnel working in service or galley on luxury yachts.
Training is an essential part of good food hygiene practice and is a legal requirement for all food handlers. This qualification is essential for CHEFS & STEWARDESS on board.
Schedule: 1 Live Session of 3 hours on Zoom
Barcelona - Exam can be taken at C/ Bailen 223 Barcelona (45 min)
In class or online (UK invigilated session from your boat or at home)

METODOLOGY
|
Students will have access to all the content of the course on the online platform. They can work at their own pace, doing assignments, and preparing the content before coming to the class, or attending the live session. The classes and the live session will be delivered by Barcelona Crew Academy expert teacher in the field. Once the students have done all the work on the online platform, and attended the class, they will demonstrate their knowledge in a final exam. After successful exam, they will obtain an official diploma.

If you are not connected at the specific hour of the exam or live session full live session has to be attended or your internet line falls down or cuts down for any reason the same fee as for a resit will be applied to rebook the exam or the session. see more info below. |

Remote (live session + remote exam invigilated )
A Food Safety & Hygiene Level II certificate is issued to students attending our course which is in line with the following regulations: MARITIME LABOUR CONVENTION, 2006: This course is certified by Award in Food Safety in Catering level 2 (RQF)- QNUK Annex 1 of MSN 1846 (M). All these qualifications are classroom based followed by an assessment.
