This course is suitable for senior positions onboard, with a minimum of 2 -4 years of experience as an HoD or senior position holder, who is looking to consolidate their knowledge base and potentially build valuable new skills to help them become more effective in their roles.
Interior Management, Event & Destination Planning & HR Unit 36 - HoD Interior:
Designed for Senior Interior Crew and Chief Stewardesses with at least 2 years of onboard experience who want to build stronger systems to manage the Interior Department professionally.
The course focuses on creating and managing SOPs, rosters, inventories, checklists, interior manuals, records, schedules, and standards for Service, Housekeeping and Laundry.
It helps students structure the day-to-day operation of the Interior Department and improve organisation, administration and team coordination on board.
It also includes Event Management, Destination Management, basic financial planning,
- Interior department structure: vision, mission, goals and operational standards
- SOPs, departmental procedures, checklists, rosters and schedules
- Interior manuals for Service, Housekeeping and Laundry
- Inventories, uniform control, ordering and purchasing systems
- Administration systems: contacts, records, schedules and standards
- Managing the Interior Department and sub-departments
- Guest preferences, service standards and onboard organisation
- Health, Safety and Security: HACCP, food safety, MARPOL, ISPS, PPE and risk assessment
- Event Production and Event Management
- Destination Management and itinerary planning

This course is designed for Chief Stewardesses and Interior Heads of Department who want to improve their leadership and management skills on board.
Students will learn how to lead teams with confidence, improve communication, manage conflict, delegate effectively, and support crew performance.
Students will work with practical onboard case studies to understand how to manage multicultural teams, improve team dynamics, give constructive feedback, and create a positive and professional working environment on board.
The course helps senior interior crew members develop their own leadership style while building the confidence and tools needed to manage people, standards, and daily operations professionally.
