RYA YachtMaster Coastal/Offshore Motor
An RYA Yachtmaster Certificate of Competence is a well-known, highly respected qualification worldwide, proving your experience and competence as a skipper. It signifies that a skipper is competent to skipper a cruising yacht on any passage during which the yacht is no more than 150 miles from the harbor.
With the title of Yachtmaster Coastal ™ you can practice as a skipper on a sailboat up to 24 meters in length and 20 miles from the coast. To be able to access the course it is necessary to have sailed 30 days, 2 of which as skipper, 800 miles and 12 night hours.
With the title of Yachtmaster Offshore ™ you can practice as a skipper on a sailboat up to 200gt and 150 miles from the coast. To be able to access the course it is necessary to have sailed 50 days, 5 of which as a skipper, 2,500 miles (half in tidal waters), and 2 nights

Methodology |
The Yacht master offshore sail is obtained by examination which involves exercises, challenges and tasks from any part of the syllabus to demonstrate the ability and confidence of the skipper.

Barcelona Crew in collaboration with certified Marine Schools offer the possibility to obtain the Maritime Training Certificates. The RYA Yachtmaster Offshore is a prerequisite for the RYA Yachtmaster Ocean.
